The Midland Hotel Manchester

This was the first time I had photographed a wedding at The Midland Hotel Manchester so was really looking forward to it. The day began photographing the bride at home where her mother and bridesmaids buzzed around excitedly for the day ahead.

The Greek Orthodox Church Salford

Shortly after, I arrived at the church to photograph the groomsmen. Arriving an hour early at the church gave me the opportunity to take lots of the groomsmen before guests arrived. Although the groom, looking very dapper was a little nervous, he soon relaxed whilst having his photo taken. The columns on this church were fantastic for photograps of the men. Meanwhile, the  bridesmaids arriving looking amazing in their plum coloured dresses. Once the bride arrived, her father full of smiles, helped her out the car. Constantly laughing together, they made their way to the church. This was the first time I had photographed a Greek wedding. The service was different from what I usually photographed. Chiefly, it was  full of little rituals which were great to photograph. Guests stood rather than sat to watch. Indeed, it was filled with emotion with lots of clapping.

Arriving at The Midland Hotel Manchester

Once we arrived at the hotel, guests began mingling and drinks flowed with lots of tasty canapes. Throughout this time, myself and the bridal party made our way to the centre of Manchester. Importantly, I took photos by  the dynamic scenery and architecture of Manchester.

After,  we made our way back to the hotel where guests were whisked into a stunning laid out reception room for the wedding breakfast. Moments later the newly weds joined them for a delicious meal.

Following on, the speeches had the guests in roars of laughter and beams of smiles. This continued through the night as they did their first dance.

Congratulations, truly this was a  really  wonderful day !
