I spent a gorgeously sunny Saturday with Danielle and Neil at The Bridge Hotel in Prestbury Village.
The wedding day celebrations began in Macclesfield at her parents farm. Danielle and her girls had their hair and make up done in the conservatory which was bright and spacious, perfect for taking photos. Hugo, the little dog was also excited with all the bustle and excitement around. The only distraction for both me and Hugo was the wonderful fresh handmade pastry cakes supplied by a relative !
Shortly after I went to the hotel to meet Neil and his bestman, Scott. They both looked very dapper in their kilts with their sporran’s. Although Neil was a little nervous at first, he soon looked at ease as I began taking photos. The atmosphere was lovely as guests began arriving with the sound of the bagpipes.
As Danielle and her bridesmaids arrived. they all looked stunning in their dresses together with beaming smiles. There was a super Scottish custom as the bagpipes continued to play, leading Danielle to the entrance. Danielle was soon ready and joined her father to walk down the aisle.
Service at The Bridge Hotel
Although their day was limited to 30 guests due to covid restrictions, it was nevertheless a beautiful service, The registra told stories on how they met followed by Danielle and Neil saying their ‘I do’s’. The civil ceremony was full of smiles and joy.
In The Gardens at The Bridge
Shortly after everyone made their way to the garden for drinks and canapes. We paused for some family groups and after I took the couple for a walk on to the infamous historic bridge for photos. Further lovely portraits were taken before everyone sat down for diner.
Congratulations to Danielle and Neil, I hope you had an awesome day and thank you so much for having me with you !
