Before The Service
Firstly, Lisa and John couldn’t have wished for a better day to get married as it was it a gorgeous sunny day. Secondly, it was also the 4th May and being Star wars fans, this is the legendry Star Wars day….’May the force be with you! To begin with, Lisa’s morning began at the hairdressers in Farnworth with her bridesmaids and bridesmaids and daughter. Above all, it was lovely to capture their daughter Leia who played on the floor with her favourite pet dinosaurs. Once back at the house there was the buzz of preparation with Lisa’s elder daughter Chelsea and new newly born baby Lilah. Although a hectic part of the day, everybody was beaming with smiles.
The Service at St. John’s Church, Farnworth
Soon arriving at the church, I was met by John and his groomsmen who all looked very dapper in their suits. We had just enough time for some fun photos of them together with the guests before the bridal car arrived. Looking amazing, the bridesmaids walked towards the church. Shortly, Lisa arrived with the page boy. Looking incredible coming down the aisle, John’s face was a picture when he saw his bride for the first time. Furthermore, the love and emotion was obvious throughout with lots of tears and laughter. After an emotional and intimate service, the newly wed couple walked back down the aisle. Some group photos followed, then Lisa and John relaxed with a glass of bubbly in their wedding car.
Queen’s Park, Bolton
Secondly, we had the opportunity for some lovely photographs at a near by park which presented lots of places for creative photography. There were a few showers which fortunately cleared up by the time we arrived at the University of Bolton Stadium.
University Of Bolton Stadium
On arriving at the stadium we were lucky enough to take some photos on the pitch. Hurridly Putting my lights up, I captured some creative shots of them both followed by one of all their guests sat in the stadium seats. It wasn’t long before everyone was ushered in for the wedding breakfast. The couple had kindly allocated me a meal, thank you! Speeches were after the meal and were full of funny tales and laughter.
After the meal, the evening guests arrived and Lisa and John did their first dance together. Brightly coloured confetti sprayed down from the ceiling making the dancing photos really dynamic. Above all, guests could have their photos taken in an amazing photobooth that John had set up. It had a funky Star Wars backdrop.
The day was a huge success with a clear display of love and happiness in the air throughout. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to capture Lisa and John’s wedding.
