Victory Hall, Mobberley

St. Wilfrid’s Church

During the lovely festive time after Christmas, I had the pleasure of photographing Caroline and Alistair’s  wedding blessing. In brief, they had already done the official part in Dubai.  To explain, I had a skype meeting with them  and was delighted when they booked me  to capture their blessing.

The first time I met Caroline was when she arrived at the church looking  radiant and full of smiles. Her dad helped her out the car and bridesmaids were  on hand to check all was in order. Being during that magical time between Christmas and New Year, the service was both very festive yet with also intimate.

It was an emotional service full of smiles. Christmas songs were sung together with one of the bridesmaids doing a solo with the accompaniment of musicians. Equally, the service was also not without laughs as the priest nearly accidentally missed out part of the service. Together with this, Alistair got his timings wrong with the vows! Well, it was after all that lull period between Christmas and New Year !

Although the light was fading we managed to get to the side of the church to do a few family shots making use of the  dramatic evening sky. En route to the reception, we stopped off at the local phone box and got some funky, fun telephone box shots.

Soon, all the guests were enjoying drinks in the warmth of the hall. Shortly after this the guests were being seated for the reception meal which smelt gorgeous.

A huge Congratulations Caroline and Alistair, thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day.
