Wedding Photographer Stockport Town Hall
I feel so lucky to be a Stockport Town Hall wedding photographer? An Edwardian grade 11 listed building, Stockport Town Hall stands out in the town centre due to its impressive renaissance architecture.
Arriving at the townhall, I initially met Ryan with his groomsmen who all looked very dapper. Despite the rain they were full of smiles and jokes as they walked up the A6 with their guests watching on. After some posed shots of them outside the impressive Townhall, I then went to meet Karen in the bridal preparation room with her daughters, mum and bridesmaid doing the final touches of getting ready.
Karen and Ryan had their service in the council chambers which is a beautiful semi-circular ceremonial room with a high domed ceiling and stained glass windows. Lots of natural light filtered through the windows creating a beautiful serene atmosphere.
As Karen’s brother Ian proudly walked his sister down the aisle, all heads turned to see the beautiful bride. The ceremony was both intimate and emotional but not without lots of smiles. Their daughters Cady and Georgie watched on happily as their parents said their ‘I do’s and finally got married.
Following the signing of the register, we all headed on to the stunning marble staircase for some family photos.
Finally I got some moments with the newly weds to create some lovely couple shots. We used the stunning architecture of the marble staircase for these more creative photos.
Shortly after, guests were then whisked inside for the reception meal which were followed by the speeches. There were heartfelt words together with funny anecdotes which caused quite a few laughs. Time flew by and before long it was Karen and Ryans first dance.
It was a pleasure photographing their wedding. Wishing you all the best for the future !
