Beeston Manor

What a brilliant sunny wedding to photograph at Beeston Manor. This stunning venue with panoramic views is set in Hoghton near Preston. This family-run business is set in 140 acres of land at Hoghton near Preston and is one of the best wedding venues in the Ribble Valley. Beeston manor is a converted 16th century barn complete with oak beams and a wonderful English country garden.

Getting Ready

The day started with Rhianne, her bridesmaids and mum getting ready in the bridal suite. It was a really lovely and chilled morning full of smiles and prosecco. As Rhianne was having her hair done, I went off to photograph Sean with his bestman and usher. There is an area within the grounds full of old tractors and machinery where we could get some great moody shots.

The service

Just before the ceremony began, I dashed off back to Rhianne’s room to capture her about to set off to get married. Rhianne’s dad couldn’t hold back his emotion when he saw her in the wedding dress for the first time which always makes for a lovely wedding photograph! There was a short journey over to the upstairs barn where Sean waited a little nervously for Rhianne to arrive. Once Rhianne had made her way up the aisle, all the nerves seemed to disappear and be replaced with large beaming smiles as Rhianne and Sean became husband and wife.  Beeston Manor has a beautiful wedding room and is really is a gorgeous place to tie the knot. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of natural light filtering through.

Reception drinks at Beeston Manor

Once the marriage service was over Rhianne and Sean led all their guests out into the glorious summer sun in the gardens at Beeston Manor. Fortunately, the 9th June was the only day with a break from the rain. Although sunny, there were some  pronounced clouds which I used  to my advantage to get some artistic shots. We made use of the acres of land where some lovely photographs were taken of the happy couple together with the bridesmaids and ushers. There was also a singer who’s lovely music added a to the great ambiance of the day. With drinks and canapes flowing you could tell the day was going to be amazing.

Rhianne and Sean – thank you for choosing me to capture your day. It was lovely to work with you,  a fantastic wedding to photograph and I wish you all the best for the future !
