It was a beautiful day to photograph a wedding at the Mercure Hotel Haydock. The day began photographing Georgina with her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents house. Whilst the hair artists did their magic, there were lots of great photo opportunities capturing all the interactions.
Service at Newchurch Parish Church, Culcheth
Arriving at the church early, I managed to capture a lovely shot of Jak and his dad walking towards the church. Moreover it was all the more special as the bestman was actually his dad. The men looked very dapper in their suits as they gave out orders of service and chatted to the guests arriving.
Bridesmaids arrived beaming with smiles. When Georgina arrived with her dad, she looked stunning. I then got some lovely expressions of her and her dad walking down the path towards the church with the bridesmaids smiling behind her. The service was really quite emotional as they chose lovely hymns to sing.
Reception at Mercure Hotel Haydock
On arriving at the Mercure Hotel, myself and the bridal party got some creative photos with the tall trees and pretty pathways. I also set me light up and got some more moody shots of just Georgina and Jak. It wasn’t long before they were back with their guests to enjoy the ambiance of the day.
Photography at Mercure Hotel Haydock
Soon everyone headed into the beautifully decorated room for their reception. Speeches were captured and shortly after I set up lights to photograph the evening guests. Following on from this, the DJ’s had the music and dance floor ready and it was soon to be Georgina and Jak’s emotional first dance. Guests joined in and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was packed.
A huge Congratulations Georgina and Jak, thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day.
