Bramhall Hall, Cheshire
Monica and Mikes wedding was an amazing day. Bramhall Hall is a superb example of a Tudor Manor House with origins dating back to the Middle Ages and is set in 70 acres of beautiful Cheshire parkland making it a perfect venue for a wedding. The Hall, is one of the most beautiful treasures of England.
The day began with the guests arriving on a double decker bus which suddenly bought Bramhall Hall to life as guests filled the front area of the hall together with the vivid colour of the red bus against the historic black and white building.
Monica and Mike’s wedding was amazing and perhaps a little intense, intense because the registras were rather late and then suddenly everything happened rather quickly which gave it a unique pace and flavour. I believe every wedding has a little hiccup which make the day all the more special and memorable.
Monica arrived in a taxi and was sat in the back smiling and giggling with Julie, her future mother in law. They didn’t stop smiling most of the day! And that is even despite being outside having a few photos in the showers.
Bramhall Hall Chapel
The service was held in Bramhall Hall’s chapel which is a beautiful and so atmospheric with its stained glass windows, oak beams and ornate ceilings. After the intimate and touching ceremony, filled with enjoyment and emotion, the guests had a historical tudor house tour whilst we wandered round the historical building for some portraits. The light (and dark) in Bramall Hall is sublime, every room is like an old master painting waiting to be exploited… especially with a bride and groom. It made it a delight capturing some creative moments around the Hall.
With dinner on the horizon, the couple spent some time with their friends before being welcomed into their wedding breakfast where the speeches were followed by a delicious meal.
I’ve grown up regularly visiting Bramhall Park with dog walks and days out, so it was a proper walk down memory lane for me to spend the day there with Monica & Mike.
A Massive Congratulations to Monica and Mike, it’s been a pleasure to get to know you both and join you on your wedding day. Thanks so much for having me as your photographer!
