Midland Hotel Wedding, Morecambe

Sue and Paul made a fantastic choice picking the Midland Hotel for their special day. The  cloudy weather did not impact on their photos  as the hotel is full of huge windows filling the room with light. This Art Deco Hotel in Morecambe is a unique and stylish wedding venue full of history.

I  began photographing Sue with her sister and family getting ready in one of the awesome top rooms of the hotel. The views across the bay are incredible.  As the hair and make-up artist worked her skills, everyone excitedly got ready for the day ahead.

Wedding at the Midland

Shortly after we went to photograph Paul and his groomsmen of whom all looked very dapper. We set off along the seaside for some relaxed photos together with some fun pics by the Eric Morecambe statue. This was definitely a ‘must do’ photo as Paul  had been involved with their publicity.  On returning to the bridal suite on this Midland Hotel wedding, we captured Sue’s brother in law ready to proudly walk Sue  down the aisle. Sue looked stunning as she made her way to meet Paul.

Reception drinks

After the service, everyone went outside for a couple of group photos. Shortly after, as guests chatted and drinks flowed, I took the newlyweds and the bridal party away to get some fun photos by the seaside. Lots of laughing shots were captured as the wind blew a gale and we all battled through it with our hair flying.

Before long, guests were then whisked inside for the reception meal. After some entertaining speeches and some chill out time, it was soon time for the newlyweds to have their first dance.
