The Monastery Manchester Wedding Photographer

Certainly an amazing day photographing this awesome couple at The Monastery Manchester. Markedly, this Franciscan Church and Friary is now a Grade II listed building making it a stunning and spectacular venue for weddings. Furthermore in 1989 it was left  derelict for many years until it was saved from ruin by local volunteers and the lottery fund.

Church Service before heading to the Monastery Manchester

Once I arrived at the church, I was met by the the groomsmen. Indeed they were all looking extremely dapper and relaxed as they were joking and laughing. Although the groom looked a little nervous, he soon relaxed as he was having his photo taken. Subsequently, I photographed the guests arriving. It was wonderful to see such beautiful and bright African coloured dress’s. Shortly after this the bride arrived with her bridesmaids in a snazzy limousine. Above all, the bride looked stunning in the most amazing lacey halter neck dress. Certainly the service was intimate filled with emotion together with lots of smiles. I noticed secret glances were captured between the couple as they said their ‘I do’s’ demonstrating their love.

Reception at The Monastery

Soon after  arriving at the monastery, guests  mingled in the Friary gardens where there was an instant feeling of deep happiness and peace. During this time drinks flowed and lots of very tasty canapes were offered.  Firstly the newly weds and I walked through the cloisters for some photos where beautiful light filtered through the stained glass windows.  Secondly, I went with them into the main chapel making use of the stunning front area of the chapel. Shortly after everyone was whisked into the beautifully laid out reception room for the wedding breakfast. Moments later the newly weds joined them for a delicious meal.

Congratulations to you both, it was a real pleasure photographing your amazing wedding day!
